Meet steve. Steve is a very rare green and orange salamander native to the Pitcairn Islands in the South Pacific. However, steve is not known for this, in fact little steve is quite famous in the town of charleston wv for a very different reason. Little was known of steve before he arrived in wv via boat, 2 trains, and a bus. Just that he was brilliantly colored according to the single local lizardesses. It wasnt until he met a puppy named snowball that the true story began. It was on a particular muggy extremely hot July day that snowball discovered our steve sneaking under him during his daily walk , being careful not to step outside of the rather large shadow being cast by his soon to be companion. This was to be the day a friendship that will live on in rumor and legend for years to come was born. I suppose for the sake of time I should move forward a bit to the first snow of the year the day when snowball and steve decided they needed an adventure. This adventure started as most do an ordinary day, a Thursday as a matter of fact, when steve ignoring all of snowballs warnings decided to hop in the pocket of the first unsuspecting passerby. Thus starting a chain of events that would inevitably lead to the tragic death of our new hero. To be continued...
