Meet the Breed was a huge success this year. Last year the public asked for more time, so we stayed for another hour this year and the lines of people just kept coming on. BJ Pumfrey a breeder and fancier of Dandie Dinmont Terriers came down from Canada with her 3 dogs, and with 4 from our area we presented 7 dogs. We answered questions, demonstrated grooming, and introduced the dogs to young and older people for 5 hours, and the DDTs were falling asleep on the tables! Next year will be even better, as Jo Simpson Rebecca Galbreath the local 4-H groups and parents will make this possible for their third year. Manuel de Encio Jr was available as an extra hand with the dogs and bringing coffee at just the right time. There were over 20 purebred dogs, including Bernese Mtn. Dog, Boxer, Bullmastiffs, Cardigan Corgi, Clumber Spaniel, Collies, Dandies, Great Dane, Harriers, Fox Terriers, Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Pugs, etc.
