Melissa Julius updates again :) Last weekend we had our first show for the season at Warrnambool. This is always a favourite show for me and this year didnt disappoint! The first day we started in the 1.20m to finish with 4 faults and followed that with a 4th placing in the 1.30m. The second day brought a 3rd placing in the 1.30 and following that was the main class for the weekend - the 1.40m championship. Another Sportsman stepped up and jumped amazing to be one of only two clear rounds, the other being Tim Clarke and his World Cup mare, Caltango. First out in the jump off, again he jumped his socks off only to be a bit unlucky and have the final fence down and we took second place. The way I felt after that class, anyone would have thought I won! On the final day he stepped back down to the 1.25m under 80 points championship and deservedly took the win! A great finish to the weekend. Understandably he received all the carrots and sugar cubes he wanted! So I ended the weekend on an absolute high, very proud of how he performed. This is the happiest, soundest and best he has looked so Im very excited to see how this season goes!! Photo credits to Peter Allen, thanks for the great photos!!
