Melissa McCarthys known for playing brash, ballsy, obnoxious, loud, aggressive, comedic characters all cut from the same cloth. While I dont doubt her talent for a second, that type of character doesnt appeal to me. I look forward to the day when she lets herself (and Hollywood does too) stretch out and play against type. Would love to see Melissa in a completely dramatic role. Her comedic roles dont show the depth she has within to really dig deep, at least for me. I view her current over the top characters as predictable, insipid and contrived for the sake of laughs and entertainment. Its time for drama already.
