Melissa writes: I am training for my first half marathon. I can run 3 miles without stopping...however very slow. I am wanting to increase my speed. I run 2 short runs during the week and one long run on the weekend. Ive been told that the short runs are where you time improves. I am not seeing that. I still run as slow on short runs as long runs. Would alternating bursts of full speed run with walking intervals help to improve my overall time?
