Member Bonnie Goslin Writes: My daughter is newly diagnosed with CRPS, however we think she has had mild forms for about 7 years. Her doctor suggested therapy, she has been in PT for about a month now for costocondritis, and now will add the therapy for the CRPS. It was suggested to see a therapist who specialize in kids who deal with chronic pain, as well as to purchase a tens unit for home use. I am wondering if there are any other suggestions to use.. We are staying away from ice, trying heat, and going to start some home therapy of different textured items rubbing against her arms trying to retrain the nerves. She is on a mild dose of a nerve blocking medicine although it is not said it will definitely help. Just a trial. Feeling helpless...
