Member question needs advice: I am hoping you could post this for input. I am recently engaged to a LEO. I am very proud of him and knew what I was getting into. He has rotating shifts. So typically he is 5 weeks on nights (3-12) and 5 weeks on days (6-3). His division is so short handed his schedule is all over the place lately. We live in a rural state and a rural of that rural state, so while he does keep busy in the summer with tourist traffic, he also has a lot of down time. My frustration is the complete lack of communication from him when he is on night shift. He will come home for dinner if he can usually, but other than that when he is on night shift he will call his dad and talk, call his sister and talk, call his mom and talk, call this buddy and that buddy, but texts from me about the mail, or when/if he will be home for dinner so I can make it for him, just simple basic communication go ignored. It very much frustrates me because I feel like I am alone when he is on night shift.... He can talk to everyone else... He needs to make communicating with his soon to be wife a priority and this needs to be addressed before we are married so it doesnt become a bigger issue. I know I need to talk to him about it, but I dont know how to bring it up without sounding like I am saying I am more important. Help! Admin L
