Members from the Independence Police Department will be participating in a Traffic Law Compliance Operation that will be emphasizing on ORS 811.507 - Operating Motor Vehicle While Using Mobile Communication Device and ORS 811.210 - Failure to Properly Use Safety Belts. This event will take place on November 25, 2013 between 0700 and 1000 hours. The target areas will be school zones with high traffic congestion. The ultimate goal is to raise awareness of the dangers that are inherent with divided attention. Drive safe and always remember to BUCKLE UP.
