Men construct principles and attempt to live by them. Believing - TopicsExpress

Men construct principles and attempt to live by them. Believing in their own righteousness they unconsciously flee from self reflection upon these philosophies. Man would do well to remember we not only live but also die by our own code. Do we hold ourselves to the same standards we expect of others? Though we are more than human I believe there is a half-life on our soul. To stay full, we must eat from the carcass of our faults - we must consume our shortcomings and excrete them back unto the Earth so that they may fertilize the grounds we walk, giving life in rebirth to an understanding of our purpose. Why is it acceptable to question a fashion trend but shame the exploration of our own metaphysics? Can we not have pride in our fellow man for finding his own way, although it is not our own? What would a world truly colored in black and white taste like, look like.... feel like? Human beings are inherently selfish creatures. We are predators. Our eyes have developed to see more shades of green than any other color for this purpose. It takes pure, profound men to see beyond philosophies, colors and codes - into the truth of individuality - and our shared place in it.
