Men like Galileo, Kepler, Bacon, Newton and Milton set the name of Jesus Christ above every other. Jean Paul Richter goes on to tell us, “The life of Christ concerns him, who being the holiest among the mighty and the mightiest among the holy, lifted with His pierced hand empires off their hinges and turned the stream of centuries out of it’s channel and still governs the ages.” Spinoza called Christ the symbol of Divine wisdom. Kant and Jacobi hold Him up as the symbol of Divine perfection and Shelling Hegel as that of the union of the Divine and the human. The great missionary to Africa E. Stanley Jones said, “Many teachers of the world have tried to explain everything - they have changed little or nothing. Jesus explained little and changed everything...Jesus changes every thing He touches. Call Him a man and you will have to change your ideas of what man is; call Him God, and you will have to change your ideas of what God is...He is the one figure in history that is not local or national. Moses was a Hebrew, Mohammed was an Arabian, Buddha was an Indian, Socrates was a Greek, Confucius was a Chinese, but Jesus is the Son of man...He is the universal Christ.” Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness - Psalm 29:2.
