Mental Health America of Greater Houston is offering a conference on Mental Health and Chronic Illness – Supporting Individuals and Families on Thursday, August 15, 9:00 – 11:00 AM (Registration begins at 8:30). Learn how to support the mental health concerns of individuals experiencing chronic illness and their family members and assist them with accessing care.The intended training audience is staff members/volunteers of organizations working directly with individuals with serious/chronic illness; this may include case managers, Community Health Workers, home healthcare workers, nursing assistants, and/or health techs. Location: United Way Building, 50 Waugh Dr., Houston, TX 77007 Parking: Visitor parking available in the adjoining garage The training is being given free of charge to participants. The presentation will be given again on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 1 pm to 4 pm. Please register by August 9th at link below.
