By Ram Balaji Subbaiyan (https://facebook/ram.subbaiyan) Writer, Movie Mills Srilankan civil war - a handle with care kind of subject taken as the premise and weaved with expertise by the creative duo Maniratnam - Writer Sujatha . * This movie has the finest subtle way of story telling with a screenplay which proceeds in the following way ,a kid longing to see her biological mother who left her in a refugee camp to fight for the rights back in their motherland right after giving birth . * The screenplay is at its peak when it includes an Engineer cum Writer playing the adopted father of the kid who writes with his wifes name Indira for identity (an inspiration from the real life character of Sujatha) creates a scope to build a solid clarity and reliability for the viewers to relate and accept the actions and dialogues delivered by the character. * The director proves his craftsmanship in a point where he films the cruelty of war in a sequence where a entire village is being evacuated , bombed and demolished through a song Vidai Kodu enthan Naadae which captures the pain,thoughts,emotions and uncertainty in the lifes of tamil people in the Coconut Island . * Prakash Raj as a Sinhalese extending helping hands to find the biological mother of the kid is a head shot strategy handled in the screenplay ! * All the characters the adopted mother , grandfather , little brothers , aunt of the kid were so natural,poetic which as audience makes us feel attached to the movie which was a killer nuance of the screenplay which managed to build the mood of the viewer . * A point where the biological mother after meeting the kid leaves her to the adopted parents and go to fight for the rights in the climax makes the viewing community irrespective of differences pray for the peace to unite them - This marks the success of the Story but still not in the reality !
