Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Afterburners!! PLEASE READ BELOW or click the link. IT WILL MAKE YOUR DAY I PROMISE :) I am so happy I am apart of your Afterburn family. Everyone there is so incredible from the employees to the members, to your director Adam who is amazing in every way and most of all you and Tony. I am still so shocked at how fast the ornaments went every-time we put them up and how everyone bought more than just one thing on their adopted seniors wish list. Matter of fact most bought everything on the seniors wish list and than some. I was especially touched at how truly generous everyone there is. You had a member buy a fishing pole for a senior (Owen) who wanted their family to take them fishing because he hadnt been in years. (This brought tears to my eyes because I was hoping his family could arrange a little trip with him, which is what he would love). Also, one of your members bought a football that clearly cant be used by the senior but, he wanted it because it reminded him of his past memories and those were some of his best memories when looking back at his life. (This also made me cry). One of my favorites was Rodger Carl. He was the one that wanted TV Guide. When I saw him he had already received his first TV Guide. He was so excited that he was able to see what was going to be on TV for the next four days and mapped out what he wanted to watch. (This was a big deal to him, he hated missing his favorite programs because he didnt know when they were coming on days in advance). When I explained to him that he had it for a year, his mouth dropped open in surprise and he got a little teary eyed that someone would do that for him. (This made me ball my eyes out). I am more than grateful that I was given this opportunity to experience this idea I had in my head but, the real credit and thanks goes to The Afterburn family and everyone that is apart of it!!!
