Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, As we make our way through this holiday season I pray that all is well with you and your families. We are doing great here in Nevada. Larry is working for the D.O.D. in Herlong, California. He has a long commute each day, but the base has a van pick him, and fellow employees up about 8 miles from our house. Thankfully he does not have to drive it on his own. He likes his job, but looks forward to retirement. I stay at home do my own thing, which is usually reading the Bible, sewing and spending time with Miss P on the days Jamye is on duty. Speaking of Jamye, her and her family are doing well. We will celebrating Christmas with them on the 19th and they will be off to Maui for the holiday season. We will miss them, but glad they will be with his family having fun in the sun. James and his family will be staying in Seattle this year and celebrating with friends. Again we will miss them and that laughing little 2 year old, but pray their Christmas season will be joyful. I wanted to take this opportunity to let everyone know that we are planning a Lee McFarland Family Reunion this coming June. The plan is to have it at Bob (Our oldest sister Viola’s son) and his wife Kay’s house on June 20th. As we make these plans we need input from all of you. We would like to grill burger, brats and dogs, and have everyone bring a side dish. We realize some will be traveling and staying in motels and that won’t be an option for them. We are thinking of a small cost, $5 to $7 a person, (under a certain age free), to help with cost of the meat and tents we want to set up. Bob and Kay have a large yard, a nice pool and lots of shade. We would like to get an idea of who is planning on coming this year. We did it last year, unplanned, and was not able to get hold of everyone. We had such a great time we wanted to be more organized this year. If we have an idea who all is coming and who will need to get a motel we will try to work out a deal with a local. Motel for a better rate.
