Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope it has been an amazing season to you all! Its been kind of a crazy year for me and my family and just to add a little bit to the crazy at the last minute, going in for my missionary physical exam, we found an abdominal mass!! :) Here are some pictures! The first is the CT scan, its about the same size as a 40 week old baby. The couple after that, Im about to go into surgery. The third pic is the tumor with the fluid inside it still... in my abdominal cavity. After the fluid was out, it measured 15+ inches... literally my whole stomach. Although it was wrapped around my ureter we dont know the actual location that it originated from, pathology from it is coming soon!! I just wanted to thank everyone for the fasting and prayers said on mine and my familys behalf! Thank you to Dr. Cox and Dr. Corica for doing the surgery; Dr. Cook and Benson Roper for keeping me from waking up in the middle (because that would have been really fun), Angela and other nurses, for keeping me comfortable, and of course thank you to my mom. Thanks for not freaking out about the 1 hour turned into 4 hour surgery and for taking care of me here at home in time to celebrate Christmas. Thank you Jake Humphreys and Earl Stoddard for giving me a beautiful blessing with oil from the actual Garden of Gesthemane. Thank you family and multiple friends for the love and concern, the prayers and calls. Again, thank you to all those that have stood by my family during these hard times and for the contributions you have made. This past year I have come to know who my true friends are. Probably the most thanks that should be given--especially this time of the year is to My Savior, Jesus Christ. His Everlasting Atonement is what has gotten me and my family through this year. His Atonement is one that can heal us both physically and spiritually. Let us not forget through all the fun gadgetry and worldly things around us the true meaning of this time of year. We celebrate the life and ministry of Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God. Have a Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year!!
