Message about body composition challenge: Firstly, let’s clarify what this challenge is NOT! It is not some rat race to lose weight though an unhealthy means. Popping 12 hydroxycut a day and feasting on two triscuits and a glass of water will is not what this is about. This challenge will be about learning how to fuel our bodies to support exercise performance but not body fat. While we X-Class coaches are not nutrition experts, we do have have practical experience on how to sensibly and comprehensively cut out the processed and modified “garbage” foods our society has allowed to become the status quo. Ideally the results of committed athletes should be: increased performance, reduced body fat, and you should just feel healthier. Here is a link to my first paleo challenge I (AJ) participated in crossfitfury/paleo-nutrition/ it was incredibly difficult because I did this on my own, ideally this X-Class body composition challenge that we are doing. Here will be the requirements: Four X-Class workouts per week totaling 16; we will hold our regular class times, and if there are enough participants willing we can work out a group workout on M,W, or F. (note) this is not finals so cramming is not acceptable. You should complete the workouts in the following ways” M,T,W, Rest, F. M,T, Rest, TR Fri. If you do all four of the workouts on one day let’s get real your missing the point. The energy you put into reconfiguring what you eat will pay dividends…pinky swear. Accountability. Every participant will be required to post everything they ate on a particular day. This can be done throughout the day or all at once at the end of the day. Buy in, this is just an idea but I have seen it work in other challenges. Everyone participating pays $20.00 to be held until the end of the challenge. If you complete the challenge you get $10.00 back.
