Message from General Manager Chris Smith First, I would like to say THANK YOU to so many who are doing so much, starting first and foremost by thanking our customers for their extraordinary patience and support. Thanks also to our Board of Directors for their assistance, and to our entire staff for their tireless efforts to restore full service to all of our customers. We also offer our deepest gratitude to our partners who have been working tirelessly alongside our crews, including Left Hand Excavating, EZ Excavating, HD Waterworks Supply, Mountain States Pipe & Supply, Dewberry Engineers, Burns & McDonnell, and many others who have reached out with assistance with construction and engineering needs. Our answering service, Colorado Call Center, has been amazing in their professionalism in handling the enormous volume of calls over the past three days. I also would like to thank the cities of Longmont and Lafayette, the Longs Peak Water District, and the Central Weld County Water District for their efforts to help us get customers back in water. Finally, thanks to Terry Kenyon with Merrick-McLaughlin Water Engineers for his effort in voluntarily working with the City of Lafayette to restore service to hundreds of our customers. We know that many of these folks have also endured losses during the flooding, and we are overwhelmed by the spirit of recovery we have already seen in so many places. The good news is that we are winning many battles throughout the District. We have done some sampling and have not detected any contaminants, which is a wonderful sign (but the BOIL ORDER REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE as a precaution). We are working with the state health department to ensure the safety of our water, and we are exploring all possible avenues for disaster relief assistance. We are all looking forward to the continued recovery and restoration of normal service.
