On 8-9-13, at 3:27 PM, officers responded to a personal robbery on the parking lot of the Toot ‘n Totum store at 4500 S. Western. The victim, a WM age 45, reported that he walked out of the store and was returning to his vehicle on the parking lot when the suspect approached. The suspect suddenly tackled the him, knocking the victim against his vehicle door and to the ground. The victim received a minor injury to an elbow that did not require medical attention. The suspect then sat on top of him and tried to take property from the man’s pockets. The suspect was unable to take any property, and left running north from the scene. The suspect was seen running into the apartments in the 4200 block of Paramount. Responding officers found the suspect on the third floor walkway of the apartments. He was taken into custody without incident. He was identified as Jermaine Morrell Campbell, a BM age 25, who gave an Amarillo address. Campbell was booked into the Randall County Jail on charges of robbery and evading arrest/detention with a previous conviction. Contact Information: Sgt.
