Met a guy named Wayne at lunch today who was wearing a Vietnam Veteran hat. He seemed a bit overheated so I invited him into the air conditioning and got him something to drink. We started talking and he is living month to month on Social Security and while he was thankful for that he was disappointed in the V.A. in terms of accessibility to medication. Said he cannot get them mailed to him and sometimes spends two hours waiting for them at the VA Center. He also said there were a lot of guys like him worse off and that he did not want me to think he was complaining. He would not allow me to buy his lunch, but I eventually persuaded him to allow me to buy him a to go order to eat later on. I say if we can pay millions to put a remote control on Mars or spend billions buying elections, we can help good people like Wayne. Please support the agency of your choice that helps Veterans.
