Met with a friend last night who recently travelled to Ireland. Upon hearing she was from Tennessee, the 81 year old breakfast server at her little pub/hotel recited this poem from memory---on the spot! My friend, being an artist, was moved by this, and over the next 2 days, sketched a series of illustrations of this poem to present to the old man! Those sketches are now framed and displayed on the walls of the pub! Pretty amazing story, if ya ask me!!!!
