This comes one day, after Ghomeshi said he was taking a personal leave. Just as we never really know what happens when a celebrity couple gets divorced, I guess we little people on the outside cant know what happens when a celebrity career uncoupling happens. But Ghomeshi had adoring fans across the country, and he brought all kinds of international attention and hipster cool to Q. I was a guest on his show three times, including his last show in Edmonton, recorded before a live audience at the Myer Horowitz theatre. And I can say, as a former radio producer myself, that he had a rare gift as a host. Audiences loved him. There are going to be a lot of unhappy Q fans, in Canada and the U.S., as this news spreads.
