Metafit legs!!! Truth is I was way under prepared for an endurance event like xterra, but hell those squat legs came in handy and I certainly didnt stop, even with a tough 13k hilly run at the end. The most surprising bit was the swim, just a couple of mins behind my dad and Ive swam a handful of times this year. You know why I felt strong? Press ups!!!! Plyo and variations. Do not underestimate the power of body weight training to help performance across any sport. Just you wait n see! Jeez if I got out on a bike or swam I would be dangerous. Inspired to do some decent training for my next event. Stoked for my dad who some of you have met in class. He took out his age group and a spot in Hawaii at the world champs. Well done to all you guys this weekend! Ive had v limited signal but have been kept up to date by the amazing Karen who says you all destroyed it! Cant wait for a big week and kicking off the challenge next week! I would really like to throw an optional timed run in too for those who are keen, 4km to see where your time is 6 weeks from then. You may walk most of it the first time and then run the lot after 6 weeks of great interval training! Its always amazing to watch you progress. You keep me motivated and inspired. Keep it up, and if you fall climb back up higher. Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone who has had a hiatus make their come back. Never be ashamed, its turning up thats the hard part. Just get back on that bike so to speak! Colette
