Episode 6: Sunday, 11/16/14 - 2:30pm DIABETES / ARTHRITIS Millions of women in America today have type-2 diabetes. It’s a preventable disease that’s directly related to lifestyle, eating habits and how little we exercise. We turn to the doctors to help us better understand what type-2 diabetes is. One woman shares with us her struggles with type-2 diabetes. Arthritis...just about anyone over 50 can relate to soreness in the joints. We occasionally pop a pill to relieve the pain. But what happens when the mild arthritis leads to the deterioration of the joints? With the advancements in joint replacement, women who once would have been confined to the couch can once again live their lives. We step into the O.R. as one woman goes through a total knee replacement. #RealityMeetsScience TM
