You are welcome to take just this individual workshop, or you can continue with joining more modules of the ‘Art of Acting and Creating’ Training Programme. FACULTY Suzana Nikolic Actress, Professor for Voice and Speech, Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb Graduate of the Academy of Dramatic Art and Fulbright scholar at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Graduate Acting Program. Suzana’s current position at the Academy of Dramatic Art is full time Professor. She is a Founder and Artistic director of Performing arts Studio Etra and Michael Chekhov studio Croatia. Her acting credits include theatre performances, feature films, television films & serials, as well as radio. Suzana has being certificated as a teacher of the Michael Chekhov Technique in 2004 by MICHA, USA. She works professionally with the Technique over 15 years. Ulrich Meyer-Horsch Actor and Director. Artistic Director of Michael Cechov Acting Studio Hamburg Performing and directing in German state and regional theatres for more than twenty years: Theater Kiel, Theater Lübeck, Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Altonaer Theater, Komödie Düsseldorf and Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, among others. Ulrich has worked with artists such as Simon McBurney and Complicite, Augusto Boal, Lorna Marshall and Yoshi Oida. As an award winning director he is known for his playful productions of the works of Bertolt Brecht. He has been appointed Associate Artistic Director of Kreuzgangspiele Feuchtwangen for 2014 to 2016. Ulrich holds diplomas in Acting from Schule für Schauspiel Hamburg, and in Theology, Philosophy and Theatre Pedagogy from the Universities of Heidelberg, Hamburg, London (King’s College) and Kiel. He studied with Michael Chekhov’s former students Hurt Hatfield, Deidre Hurst du Prey, Mala Powers and Joanna Merlin as well as with Chekhov teachers from Germany and Russia. In his approach to the Chekhov Technique he incorporates the exploration of children’s games and work with masks. Since 1994 he has been teaching throughout Europe as well as in Brazil and the US. He is a member of the international faculty of MICHA, New York. Åsa Salvesen Actress, Director, Artistic Director of Ozonteatern, Journalist Since her graduation from the Theatre Academy in Helsinki 1997 she has been working as freelance actress and director. She is founding member of Ozonteatern, a Finnish theater company. During 2004-13 she was the Head Teacher of the Drama Program at Västra Nylands folkhögskola in Karis. Åsa has been working and studying the Chekhov technique since 1998 with teachers such as Lenard Petit, Jobst Langhans, Sarah Kane and Joanna Merlin. She is Co-founder of Michael Chekhov Europe, a network of European actors and directors. Åsa has been giving workshops in the Michael Chechov Technique in Finland, Sweden, Germany, Ireland and Turkey. She is awarded for her unconventional and artistically challenging performances and for bringing international influences into Finnish theatre education. Åsa works in organisations and companies with artistic methods in order to stimulate creativity and innovations at workplaces. Åsa´s Swedish translation of “To the Actor” by Michael Chekhov will in Autumn 2014 be published.
