Michael Howard "Mickey" Goodwin 1966 - 2013 Visitation: Sunday, September 1, 2013 4-9pm at Stanford Baptist Church Funeral: Monday, September 2, 2013 2pm at Stanford Baptist Church Interment: Crab Orchard Cemetery - Crab Orchard, KY Age: 47 Michael Howard "Mickey" Goodwin, 47, of Stanford, KY passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at U.K. Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born June 27, 1966 in Lexington, KY to Michael and Sheryll Howard Goodwin. He worked as an operator for Spectra Energy, formerly Texas Eastern, for 26 years. Mickey loved sports and since 1993 has been involved in various coaching positions in Lincoln County, coaching Little League Football, Lincoln County Middle and High School Cross Country and Track teams, Recreational League Basketball, and most recently serving as an Assistant Coach of the Lincoln County Patriots High School Football Team. He was also a member of Stanford Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by the love of his life; Lori Reid of Stanford, KY, three children; Trace Goodwin of Stanford, KY, Jordan Wilkinson of Lexington, KY, and Tyler Wilkinson of Bloomington, IN, one sister; Susan Harris (Billy) of Crab Orchard, KY, his grandmother; Mildred Goodwin of Stanford, KY, one niece; Sydney Harris, and one nephew; Tate Harris. Visitation will be Sunday, September 1, 2013 from 4-9pm. Funeral service will be Monday, September 2, 2013 at 2pm with Reverends Max Hester and Greg Hancock officiating. Both services will be held at Stanford Baptist Church. Burial will be at Crab Orchard Cemetery in Crab Orchard, KY. Casket bearers are: Trace Goodwin, Barry Howard, George Miller, Jimmy Padgett, Justin Burgess, Darren Henderson, Ralph Toy, and Kenny Phoenix. Honorary bearers will be the Lincoln County Patriots High School Football Team coaches; Mike Settles, Bobby Leffew, Travis Leffew, Jason Todd, Dean Wilks, and Daniel Foster. Memorials in lieu of flowers can be given to the Lincoln County Patriots High School Football Team (Attention: Jeff Jackson – 60 Education Way, Stanford, KY 40484).
