Michael Richards became more famous than ever once the dust - TopicsExpress

Michael Richards became more famous than ever once the dust settled on his racist rant. He was paid for those appearances with Jesse Jackson, David Letterman, and so on. He gained unbelievable publicity through the TV shows that poked fun at it and even got to appear on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" to poke fun at the incident himself. "Kramer" was all but forgotten until the incident but now, just a few years later, all that publicity has been used to regain stardom he never could have received without it. Paula Deen will lose a bunch of endorsements but will come back stronger. I used Richards as the example because his trouble was with racial slurs as well but it can be said for other incidents too. Michael Vick is one of the most beloved players in the NFL only a few years removed from being the most hated. He has more eyes on him now than he ever did before going to prison.
