Microaggressions are a very real and a very hurtful expression of oppression. I experience them every day as a woman and a person of color--yes, even in the abolitionist movement. Please read this article as an introduction to the concept of microaggressions. And if you want to be an ally against oppression, be humble. And do the continual introspection and transformation necessary to be one. I, as a member of some oppressing classes, challenge myself to do just that. - Sarah
