Mid- and upper-level management personnel representing various government offices from Guam and neighboring islands, including the Republic of Palau, Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, and Republic of Marshall Islands are attending the Executive Leadership Development Program this week at the Department of Administration in Tamuning. Gov. Eddie Baza Calvo was invited to speak in leadership issues hes faced since coming to office. He noted that there were various issues that impacted Guamanians lives and so set about addressing them. He talked about the road to paying out tax refunds, working with the Guam Department of Education to create a stronger curriculum to ensure students are prepared for college and/or the workforce, hiring more officers for the Guam Police Department and ambulances for the Guam Fire Department.
