On the one hand, Obamas advanced warning of what he is going to do is letting Assad clear the areas prior to a strike so that he can save face by showing the world that when he says a red line is in place he means it. On the other hand you have to remember that ALL MILITARY CONFLICT IS JUST BIG, BIG, BIG BUSINESS. Yes, every single bullet, bomb, missile and piece of equipment that is reaching its end of use date has to be used and lost in battle. This because their replacements which keeps the American and European arms industries going and profitable are actually being sold to the countries tax-payers. If you were the corrupt politicians recieving massive financial backing from your countries Arms Lobbyist wouldnt you want to get rid of your obsolete stock so that you could keep your paymaster munitions companies in business and funding your and your political party?
