Mike Baird seems to be oblivious to the corruption going on in NSW - TopicsExpress

Mike Baird seems to be oblivious to the corruption going on in NSW State Politics, and was in Newcastle earlier this week apologising for all the wrong reasons. What we DO NOT WANT is closure of the rail line and developers being allowed to construct high-rise over the rail corridor. Buildings constructed there typically cost $15-20 million less than others, as there has never been any mining under the rail line (unlike the rest of the city). This is where all the corruption and stink has arisen, and its seen two state MPs and a Lord Mayor resign outright. We just dont want to go there at all and keep our rail line into the city - its only TWO STATIONS for goodness sake. Deputy Premier Gladys Berejiklian (whos also Minister for Transport - and - very strangely as she lives in Sydney - Minister for the Hunter) was still in denial mode on Wednesday when she said: Our job is to truncate the line, put in interim measures that are satisfactory, particularly for people coming from the Upper Hunter region, and thirdly the task we have been given is to implement the light rail. NO GLADYS. That is not your job unless you are going to also admit exactly how much Nathan Tinkler and Jeff McCloy are going to be paying you as well. We cant believe that the rest of the state - indeed the rest of Australia - can ignore a very valuable economic region. Newcastle Port is the LARGEST coal terminal IN THE WORLD (until Abbot Point on the Great Barrier Reef gets built in a few years time). Oh, yeah, and Mike Baird sold Newcastle Port Corp to a Chinese consortium (well, 98-year lease - why 98 we wonder??) in March this year. It just stinks, and the worst thing is they not only THINK theyll get away with it, they might well just actually get away with it!!!!!!! {Bad Skunk}
