Mike Huckabee Nineteen of our embassies through the Middle East are still closed due. But our military is still open for business... The Pentagon sent a message Tuesday to al-Qaeda militants in Yemen, where the threat chatter against our embassies was said to have been concentrated. The initial report was of two drone strikes killing four al-Qaeda militants, and that’s likely not the end of it. The State Department is urging Americans to leave Yemen immediately – although why they’re still there is anybody’s guess. Officials wouldn’t comment on whether the drone strikes were directly related to the threat. But at this point, any US action that sends the message that America doesn’t run, we strike back, should be considered the correct response to threats against our embassies. Remember what an embassy is: it is considered to be American soil in a foreign land. After Benghazi, our enemies need to be taught in no uncertain terms that we take a threat to our embassies just as seriously as a threat against New York or Los Angeles.
