Mike here. I am usually the last person to jump on the express-grief-about-a-celebrity-who-just-died-on-social-media train, but this short speech by Philip Seymour Hoffman (as rock critic Lester Bangs in Almost Famous) truly inspires me as a reporter, writer and person. Though I saw this movie when I lived in Albany, the idea of becoming comfortable with all my uncoolness never took root until I moved to California, where I learned how important it was to embrace all parts of yourself.
