Milestones are nothing new for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Both - TopicsExpress

Milestones are nothing new for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Both have accomplished plenty through their illustrious careers in New England to someday garner Hall of Fame status. The 2014 season, however, has seen both reach new heights in the NFL and Patriots history books. The latest came in the Sept. 21 win over the Oakland Raiders. The win may not have been has pretty as many on Brady’s list, but it was his 150thas a starting quarterback, making him the third quarterback in NFL history to reach 150 wins behind Brett Favre (186) and Peyton Manning (169). Those 150 wins have all come with Bill Belichick roaming the sideline as head coach. No coach/quarterback tandem has won as many games as Brady and Belichick. Dan Marino and Don Shula are distant second on that list with 116 wins followed by Chuck Noll and Terry Bradshaw with 107. Brady also is nearing another significant milestone. Brady is just 219 passing yards from 50,000. Only five other NFL quarterbacks have eclipsed the 50,000 yards mark. Belichick also continues to make history and pad his Hall of Fame resume. The Patriots win over the Vikings in Minnesota was his 200thas a head coach and the win over Oakland moved him into sole possession of fifth all-time on the regular season coaching win list behind Don Shula (328), George Halas (318), Tom Landry (250) and Curly Lambeau (226).
