Milwaukee County Sheriffs Office: Sheriff Calls Frivolous Lawsuit an Attack on Women in Law Enforcement The Milwaukee Deputy Sheriffs’ Association filed a lawsuit on Friday alleging that a female officer promoted to the command rank was not capable of handling such duties. Sheriff Clarke responded to this waste of court’s time: “We hear so much from the left about the War on Women. This is what a real war on women looks like. I find it sad that these misogynistic attitudes in law enforcement now come masked as lawsuits. I thought we were past thinking that women cannot do this job. This frivolous lawsuit suggests that women are not qualified and should not, on merit, be promoted into command ranks in the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office.
