Mind of Christ We have access to the IBM Roadrunner* super computer but we persist in using our PC to figure out the riddles of life. When we have quieted our ego driven soul/mind we are more receptive to what the Spirit desire to communicate to us. 8None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what the Spirit has prepared for those who love him"[a]— 10but the Spirit has revealed it to us by his Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:8-10 (New International Version) For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Spirit so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. 1 Corinthians 2:16 Amplified Bible. We have access to the mind of Christ if we will avail ourselves of it. … to enlighten all men and make plain to them what is the plan [regarding the Gentiles and providing for the salvation of all men] of the mystery kept hidden through the ages and concealed until now in [the mind of] the Spirit Who created all things by Christ Jesus. Ephesians 3:9 Amplified Bible Modified The Wisdom literature is replete with injunctions to find, get, and hold onto wisdom. The highest purist of wisdom is love (Love). The foundation of wisdom, the basis of reality, is the knowledge that The Spirit created us to love on because that is his nature. Herein is love, not that we loved the Spirit, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10 When we meditate, when we read and reflect on God’s Word we open ourselves up to the wisdom of the creator of the universe. When we are honest with ourselves about just how unsuccessful we have been in doing things our way we are more open to seeing things differently. Ego tends to persist in thinking “If I just do it this way, if I give it one more try, maybe I can make it work.” Ego must be put in its proper position which is the Spirit first, our spirit second then our mind. Again, this is top-down living. Ask for wisdom and it will be on the way. The Proverbs exhort us over and over to seek wisdom. Ask for it. Expect it. Listen and look for it. Intuition is the language of the spirit. Learn to be aware of and trust your intuition. Meditate on specific sayings of the Christ. Get a red letter edition of the Gospels to see what the Christ said. Ask the Spirit to illuminate Christ’s words to your spirit. God wants to reveal himself to you; is revealing himself to you. Are you hearing? What one step toward Wisdom could you take today? Will you take it?
