Wed Sept 11 – 8/7 Today commemorates the 62nd Heavenly Master, named Zhang Yuan Xu or Zhang Xiao Chu – in a direct line from original Master Zhang Daoling, founder of the Tianshidao (Heavenly Master (or Orthodox Daoism of China). If you practice in this tradition the astrology of the day suggests modest but heart-felt offerings should be made to turn your ordinary gratitude into Joy. The Heavenly Masters represent the constant presence of those who look out for us in the spiritual sense – those who hold open the doors of human spiritual Paths. The qi or the day valorizes gifts of food to the poor, offerings to community temples and enhances the placing of amulets. It is a good day to close escrow, do banking and enjoy the simple pleasures of hanging out with friends. It is not a good day to have weddings or dig the ground (gardening or burials). Thurs Sept 12 – 8/8 Integrity is the key word today. Maybe even righteous in its true meaning. Be aware of the ramifications of your actions and use precision, honesty and insight to succeed. If you often cultivate integrity without success, today is the day it will surely “work” – show progress. Obstacles vanish before your pure heart. Those with righteous intentions will be promoted. Lung channel is open and needling Lung 7, 8 and 9 has unexpected benefit. Fri Sept 13 – 8/9 Today has unexpected setbacks if you work alone. Working together with others goes very well. The qi retreats from all surfaces today and renders many activities ineffective. Cancel what appointments you can, go home early, put in an extra hour on your zafu. Forget about contracts, romance, artwork, weddings and innovation – postpone instead. Abandoning plans and routines creates opportunity for surprise outcomes, but don’t be surprised if simply nothing happens. Get a backrub from a close friend – no happy endings. Lower Bladder points flicker on and off all day. 8th Moon METAL ROOSTER or “Caged Rooster” in WATER SNAKE year September 5 - October 4 2013 METAL is the native element of the Rooster Earthly Branch. Metal Rooster months call for precision, accounting and physical exercise. Beware of getting “too intense” and try and avoid belligerence.
