Mini Sermon of the Day: The Tower of Babel (Gen. 11:1-9) October 21st was Babbling Day. Within the account of the Tower of Babel, we see some important lessons... I. SELF (vv.1-4). Notice the number of times they said us >>>They congregated where they wanted. >>>They did not fill the earth as God said. >>>They were only concerned with their legacy. II. SEE (v.5). How often do we forget the Lord sees all we do? >>>He knew what they did >>>He knew why they were doing it III. SPLIT (v.6). God desires unity, but,... >>>When we build unity on mans ideas, it crumbles. >>>True unity can only be had in God and His word. IV. SCATTERED (v. 7-9). Because their speech was different >>>We can only have unity when we speak the same thing >>>We must speak where God has spoken >>>We must be silent where God has been silent The problem was not with the building. The problem was with the hearts. They were working for self, instead of God. Are you teaching what God says, of are you just babbling?
