Minimum wage is modern day slavery. Let me explain.... I work at Dunkin donuts where I make sandwiches from the time I clock in to the time I clock out. Yesterday my stores net sales was 3,700 dollars from which 38% came from sandwiches. 38% of 3,700 is approximately 1,406 dollars. Lets use that as an average per day. I work 5 days a week. 5 times 1,406 is 7,030 dollars per week. I get paid by weekly. 2 times 7,030 is 14,060.... let that number sink in.... 14,060... thats about how much money I help dunkin donuts make every two weeks.... my hard earned pay check is less than 3% of $14,060 and bills will still be due on the first of every month .... what do you call that?.... modern day slave work ....... to anybody that works at minimum wage .. just know that you are a modern day slave. And i stand by what I say.. The numbers dont lie .... its time to invest in a better tomorrow. Take control of your future and stop being used
