Minister Blade Nzimande takes Career Guidance services to Mitchells Plein The Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr. Blade Nzimande, MP, will, on Wednesday, 23 April 2014, host a Career Expo targeting learners and youth that are neither in education nor in employment in Mitchells Plein and surrounding communities. Through this programme, the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) seeks to equip learners and out-of-school youth with the necessary information that will enable them to make informed career choices and tap into other opportunities in the post-school education and training space. At the Career Expo, entities of the Department, institutions of higher learning in the Western Cape, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (former FET) colleges and other stakeholders will provide information on study opportunities, funding, opportunities for self-employment, skills courses and other offerings.
