Minister Lawrence Wong as well as grassroots leaders and volunteers distributed WeCare packs to residents in Boon Lay over the weekend. It was a positive event, where the volunteers managed to reach out to many elderly folk, especially those who lived alone. WeCare Packs, as they are called, contain items such as N95 masks, lozenges and eye wash, and non-perishable food items such as instant noodles, canned sardines and baked beans - the packs have been distributed so far as part of an ongoing nationwide campaign to needy and senior Singaporeans.
