Ministry of Health is training call center operators on new software for a computer system that has been installed to help them manage the national ebola hot line. Glad this is happening but e really disheartening. Na now wi di do training...months and months after dis tin don fohdom pan wi. My only hope is that after this crisis we develop an emergency response system that will be robust enough to manage everything from health, to environmental disasters. We should make sure we never find ourselves here again. Unforeseen circumstances can and will happen but we need to get to a point in our communities and in our country where we have a plan before they occur. We have to stop letting things happen to us and overwhelm us so much so that we have to ask foreigners to come and help us. Sierra Leoneans have to aggressively demand more and better from their government. Dont let them off so easily. In 2017 when we hold elections let us remember to ask the hard questions. What is the value of a Sierra Leonean life?
