Minor League Final! On this Friday evening the Emmets travel to Oram to play Donaghmoyne in the County Final of the Minor Football League competition. The Emmets are the reigning champions and are seeking to capture back to back titles; they are playing well at the moment and are in good shape after winning the “Ryan Gartlan Cup” over Crossmaglen; who last Sunday became the champions of Armagh and we congratulate the Rangers on their splendid victory. Carrickmacross beat Scotstown in the semi-final by double scores but in Donaghmoyne they face the form team of the competition. Nothing like a neighbouring contest and you can add to the atmosphere of the match by supporting the Emmets team in their endeavour to take the title! The throw-in is at 6.00pm and we wish the panel of players the best of luck in their quest for silverware; we know the amount of work and effort put in by this group of players and hopefully this will see them through! Sean and Mark Downey and their back up mentors have been a source of inspiration to the boys; their input has seen them perform constantly well during the year and we hope they get their reward!
