Miracles do happen. As I was on my way to deliver papers at 5am, on Amsterdam road just before Thorpe, I hit a solid patch of glass ice. I had no control of my car steering, nothing. It put me in a full 360 spin and threw me in the opposite ditch sideways almost rolling my car. I finally came to a stop nose first down the embankment at the bottom of the ditch, a couple inches from a tree. God put his hands out and held on to me the whole time. When all said and done, I wasnt hurt, just shaken up, the air bags didnt deploy and other than being stuck, there is no damage to my car that I see, and the tree didnt come through the windshield, or even scratch my car. I am so very lucky I wasnt hurt, or my car totaled. And ironically when I bought this silver Rendevouz 6 months ago I added roadside assistance to my insurance. I called and they dispatched a tow truck to pull me out and everything was covered. I didnt have to pay anything. It took about a hour and I went and delivered by route. I was very blessed today. I do want to thank the many people who stopped this morning to make sure I was ok. Almost every car that passed until the sheriff got there, stopped.
