Mirror-Face O you, Who I don’t know, You stay - TopicsExpress

Mirror-Face O you, Who I don’t know, You stay before me In a busy late night train. We’ve met here in a crowd For a moment, And you don’t notice me But I am looking at your face. Your eyes are looking tide, Not from this evening, maybe But from this very life. Your lips are tender, soft And bulging like lips of a child. And if you smile You are so beautiful, So pleasing to look at. You do not notice me And I keep looking. Your face is changing Almost with every breath. You smile a moment, Then you look capricious. You hug and kiss your friend, Then subtle pain distorts your features. O you, Who I don’t know, You face is like the surface of the water Ruffling by the hands of wind. Your face is like the flames of fire – Somebody drops dried leaves And sparks are high. But soon, too soon, the fire faints again. O you, Who is so beautiful, Your face is like a field of grass, Tree foliage in rain. Your face is many faces. They come, they leave, Come back without rest. And I don’t know If there is anyone Can stay for long. O you, Who I don’t know, In this busy late night train, You look at me… Just for a fraction of a moment But I see… Your face Is like a mirror, The mirror of my own self.
