Misconception, Assumption and Premature Conclusion: A friend - TopicsExpress

Misconception, Assumption and Premature Conclusion: A friend was sharing an antidote about the power of Divine Mad Man particularly the blessing of his Phallus to those who failed to conceive. She was saying, a tourist couple, although married for ten years, having failed to conceive, came to Bhutan to visit Chimmi Lhakhang to get blessing from the Phallus and went back to their country, got conceived and bore a healthy child. The couple came to Bhutan and got blessed. As she was narrating the antidote, two other friends kept on interrupting saying they know the couple and they even mentioned the name of the couple and would not allow the other friend to finish her story. With lots of insistent interruption, the friend completed her conversation; the woman finally gave birth to a child, and much to astonishment of the husband, the child looked like the tourist guide. What was hilarious about this antidote was, the two friends who kept on saying they know the couple, said, Oh no, no, it is not the same couple we were mentioning. Bottom line: Do not jump to conclusion before somebody has finished making the statement.
