Miss Berry was moved from the hospital today to physical therapy where she can start rebuilding her strength and energy. She will remain there night and day until she is strong enough to maneuver on her own and go home, which could take two weeks or more. The doctor said the initial biopsy of the bone marrow pointed to a reduced production of blood cells, which can be related to age and advised this would be treatable with medication IF that in fact turns out to be the diagnosis. They are still running other tests to verify there is no other issues that werent seen in the first set of tests. Her room is very nice and clean and she said the bed was very comfortable. It also has its own thermostat so she can adjust the heat up since she has been cold for the last twelve days. And last but certainly not least, the best news for last, they do allow pets to come visit! So Annie will be coming up soon which will be good medicine for the both of them. The tough ole bird still smiles when the bell rings.. yes it is still ringing and she couldnt be more proud. Many thanks!
