#MissWorld 2014: Miss #USA runner up thanks to awful national costume choice. The Miss World 2014 competition was held in #London on Sunday and while TomoNews could normally a rat’s behind about #beauty #pageants, we can’t help but wonder whether the United States of #America was properly represented. Elizabeth Safrit competed against 121 other women and finished in third place. She scored well in her public address and also won high marks in the multimedia portion, which tallies online support. But in the Dances of the World segment, Miss USA Looked as though she had gotten lost on her way to a cosplay convention. Since the #US lacks much cultural heritage, a #cowgirl getup would seem like a safe choice where other countries are stronger in the national costume category. Miss USA’s costume, however, just seemed badly executed. But Safrit managed to keep her head high. “I hope that I made the Americans #proud, that I repd our country the way it deserves to be represented,” she said.
