Missing Jet - interesting developments.... Malaysian Authorities put on spot when asked by journalist if it is true (based on views of civil servants and others) that they know where the plane is but arent saying....That might explain why India has been asked to stand down its search operation in new areas -see below....It will be interesting if it is on an abandoned 2nd WW runway in India, Pakistan or Afghanistan...as I suggested last week should be a focus of the search..... (My late Father was sent to India on behalf of the British Government to undertake a number of low visibility jobs...He was there from 1941 and one job he had was to travel all over what was then India (but subsequently became India and Pakistan after the end of WW2) to identify suitable areas of land that could be turned into forward air bases to help in the air war in the Pacific against Japan.) The jet was, it has been reported at one point flying above its normal operating ceiling...in excess of 40,000 ft ...it is suggested that this was done deliberately to render the passengers unconscious...... The Malaysian Authorities have allegedly asked the Indian Authorities to suspend their search activities in new areas...which is surprising to say the least..... .....But areas of land in 11countries are being investigated... ....We await disclosure of the cargo the jet was carrying and its total weight... ....We await disclosure of the total fuel load .....which may or may not exceed the total required to fly to Beijing.. ...There is speculation that it may have flown further than previously estimated because it had taken on more fuel than expected....
