Missing all my Shelter Valley family and friends today. Each hour - TopicsExpress

Missing all my Shelter Valley family and friends today. Each hour of the Labour Day weekend I have a production schedule that comes to mind, tattooed into my DNA for life I suppose. I have an image and memory of what is happening in each area of each field and hill. Hard to believe its in its 11th year. So many stories, and storms of every kind. I recall our first public gatherings at the Community Centre in Grafton to gather volunteers to plan the first year, and trips into the woods to pick the trees to mill into lumber to build the stage, and our countless treks up and down overgrown fence-lines to plot out the site, and trenches dug to lay power cables, and put in culverts for entrances, and meeting with local Town council to explain the venture... what a time. And what an amazing group of people who continue to lift and grow and change and nourish it into its 2nd decade. Good to know that all the sweat and tears were worth it all and that it continues to bring great people, art, and food together in a logo-free way. Congratulations to one and all who played a part this year. I sincerely wish I was there, and I miss you all.
