Mitch Salmon Go outside and look at the night sky and you will - TopicsExpress

Mitch Salmon Go outside and look at the night sky and you will observe a million points of light. They are far too numerous to count and yet they are but the tip of the iceberg of (Aleph) God’s creation. You could spend many lifetimes traveling at the speed of light and yet never reach them. Yet with a word He hung them in their places. While we continue in an endless quest to discover them all, He calls each one by name. How often do we consider the vastness of our God? If He spoke a word and out of that word billions of stars were put in their place, what lies beyond His capabilities? He cannot be contained within the realm of human thought. He cannot be described by any word, no matter how profound. Since even before the dawn of time the seraphim have been crying, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of His glory!” What could inspire them to revel so? Clearly no man, not even the angelic beings can take in the immenseness of His glory. Yet it is this same God who occupies the hearts of His children. The same God who is reveled night and day without ceasing is the God who now calls you His dwelling place. You are His holy temple. This is the same God whose presence in the Holy of Holies caused men to fall dead to the ground. It is said that the high priest entered this place with a scarlet rope tied around his ankle so that should he be overwhelmed by the shekinah (glory of God) and fall dead, there would be a means with which to retrieve the body. Yes, this is the very same God that lives in the hearts of His people through the power of the Holy Spirit. If we truly receive this truth, how will it change us? Would we continue to cower before the enemy as though he had the upper hand? Would we continue to pray, “if you can help me, LORD…?” Would we remain in dread over the current state of the economy, the job market or the stock market? We have been given power and authority in the name of Jesus and yet for many it is a phrase that sounds great on the lips even as this truth eludes their hearts. How long will we limit the greatness of our God to the confines of the human mind? How long will we try to define Him in our own puny terms? How long will we attempt to take the Creator of the universe and try to fit Him into a little box? You say, “Give me a little Jesus. I need Him when I am in trouble or when I am scared but don’t let Him crowd my whole life. I want to keep Him neat and tidy in this little compartment. I still have a life to live.” I say, “Jesus IS the life you live and without Him there is only death and the abyss.” You say, “I want to enjoy all this world has to offer first and what Jesus has to offer later.” I say, “What guarantee do you have of tomorrow? Do you not know that just as the wildflowers of the field your life is fading?” ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Open the eyes of my heart, LORD. Remove the spiritual veil that blinds me from seeing Your greatness. You are the God of the universe. You are the Creator of all that I see and so many things which I have yet to behold. LORD, I ask that You teach me right perspective. I ask that You reveal that which has been hidden from me. If I could see Your face, if I could see that vastness of your glory surely I would be like the seraphim which surround Your throne. Surely I would cry, “Holy, holy, HOLY!” LORD, I pray that You will remind me of the power and authority given unto me in the name of Jesus. I pray that through revelation my faith will be multiplied. I pray that through Your word I may be given wisdom, knowledge and understanding that confounds those who scoff at Your glory. I pray that You give me the compassionate heart of Your Son, Jesus so that many will be drawn into Your saving grace. I acknowledge and bear witness to the words of Jesus when He said that the heavens and the earth would pass away but His word remains. LORD, You are my hope. You are my salvation. You are my Rock and my Fortress. Surely there is no one greater! Surely every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Your Son, Christ Jesus is LORD. On this day, I bow before You. On this day I confess that Jesus is my LORD and my Savior. I put the full weight of my faith in Him. Thank you, Father, for Your grace. Thank you for making the way for me to enter into Your salvation. I confess and surrender all of those things which I have held onto. They are but wood and stubble that will be burned in the fire. Free me from these things, Father, and replace them with that which will abide. Multiply my faith. Restore my hope. Awaken within me Your deep love. I give You all that is within me and hold nothing back. I pray this in the name of Your precious Son, Jesus (Yeshua) AMEN. youtube/watch?v=vP66N7H22pI Open the Eyes of My Heart, Lord- lyrics- Sonic Flood youtube Sonic Flood Like · · Follow Post · Share · 4 minutes ago
